The system

Carbon and a true softener, together.

Carbon filtration is for chlorine taste and odor. A true ion-exchange softener is for hardness. Equipment sits at the incoming line so showers, laundry, and sinks are on treated water. Your recommendation and water details help us confirm the right system and installed quote. Any additional work is quoted before installation.

Whole-home solution

Filtration and true softening, explained simply.

Carbon filtration helps reduce chlorine taste and odor. A true ion-exchange softener addresses hardness minerals that cause scale and soap film. Together they treat water where it enters the home so showers, laundry, fixtures, and appliances all benefit.

  • Better-feeling showers and clearer-looking fixtures
  • Less scale buildup on glassware and water-using appliances
  • Convenient whole-home treatment — not a pitcher under the sink

Your home and water are different. We'll help determine the right treatment before recommending a system.

Your recommendation and water details help us confirm the right system and installed quote. Any additional work is quoted before installation.

Final recommendation and pricing depend on water conditions, plumbing configuration, home requirements, and any unusual installation conditions. Extra plumbing, electrical, outdoor placement, or non-standard materials are quoted before installation.

Whole-home carbon and softening are commonly discussed for municipal-water homes. Private wells are reviewed separately and may need different equipment or testing.

Optional reverse osmosis

A dedicated drinking-water tap, if you want one.

Under-sink reverse osmosis is designed to reduce a broad range of dissolved substances and contaminants for drinking and cooking, depending on the system and water conditions. It does not replace whole-home carbon or softening, and it is not included in whole-home carbon or softening treatment package.

White Glove Service

Care continues after the system is installed.

Three months of White Glove Service is included with qualifying new system installation: salt supplied and refilled during scheduled quarterly visits for eligible softeners, basic system checks, and a direct point of contact. After the introductory period, ongoing care is available at about $39/month.

Four scheduled visits per year are included (quarterly) — monthly billing does not mean a visit every month.

FAQ

Questions we actually get

What does a typical whole-home system include?+

A whole-home carbon filtration system and a true ion-exchange water softener, professionally installed, with basic installation materials. Three months of White Glove Service and a free in-home water test are included. Under-sink reverse osmosis is optional and priced separately. Installed quotes assume a standard installation path unless we note otherwise.

What is a standard installation?+

A typical single-family home where we can place the equipment at the incoming water line, make a normal plumbing connection, tie in a drain, and power the softener valve—usually in a garage or utility space. Extra plumbing, electrical, outdoor pads, or non-standard materials are quoted before installation.

Is the in-home water test really free?+

Yes. It is the first step, not a prepaid credit. You are not obligated to buy a system after the test.

Do you serve Palm Beach County and Broward County?+

Yes. We serve Palm Beach County and every incorporated municipality in Broward County, including western communities. That confirms geographic coverage, not a guaranteed appointment time or identical installation pricing for every property. If you are unsure, request the test and we will confirm whether we can visit.

Is reverse osmosis included?+

No. Reverse osmosis is an optional under-sink upgrade for drinking water, priced separately.

Is this the same as a salt-free water conditioner?+

No. The softener in this package is a true ion-exchange system. Salt-free conditioners are a different process and are not the same as softening.

Will this remove every contaminant in my water?+

No. Carbon filtration is used for chlorine taste and odor and related aesthetic issues. Softening addresses hardness minerals. Reverse osmosis is a separate drinking-water process. No system on this site is described as removing every contaminant.

Do you treat well water?+

Yes. SpenceCo provides residential well-water filtration and softening. Recommendations depend on testing and installation needs, and well systems are quoted separately from municipal recommendations.
